MD. TAREQ BIN SALAM
Man of Khulna, Bangladesh. Love to explore new things. Ph.D. from the University of Yamanashi, Japan where major focus has been given in soil organic pollution and bioremediation. Completed graduation and post-graduation from Khulna University, Bangladesh in Soil Science Discipline. In 2021, achieved MEXT scholarship under the Japanese government as well as CAS-TWAS (The World Academy of Science)-ANSO young scientist fellowship in the Chinese Academy of Science. Moreover, in 2026, selected as a visiting professor at the SAKURA Science Program, Japan. Very positive-minded and self-dependent personality. Special interest in Soil-Plant microbiome, microbe-assisted bioremediation, Plant growth-promoting microbes, Pesticide extraction, and biodegradation. Always welcome in the field of research and collaborative work.

26/02/2026: We arranged our 2nd lab seminar and yearly Iftar Mahfil.

25/02/2026: I delivered a lecture as invited faculty in a seminar arranged by Jagoo Foundation Trust, and a module has been launched for the watermelon farmers under my consultancy through the funding of the Embassy of New Zealand.

03/02/2026-09/02/2026: Mr. Joy, Rakib, Sojib, and Ms. Roshni have been participating in the Sakura Science Program and visited the University of Yamanashi, Farmhouse, and the SMART agriculture farm. They also experienced different Japanese cultures and cuisines.

02/02/2026: I traveled to Japan as a visiting Professor at the University of Yamanashi, Japan

02/02/2026: Mr. Joy, Rakib, Sojib and Ms. Roshni will attend the Sakura Science Exchange Program from 02 February to 10 February in Japan at the University of Yamanashi.

11/03/2025: We visited the shrimp farming pond with Japanese professors.
- 10/03/2025: We signed an MoU between Khulna University and the University of Yamanashi. After signing, professors from the University of Yamanashi came to visit us.

02/01/2025: The MoU signing ceremony between Khulna University and Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University, Turkey was held successfully. My lab and Prof. Aksu's lab were the hosts of that program. ​​​​​​​​​​​​
